Jonathan will for the first time this season be starting in a competitive 2008 spec car, after putting on another strong performance at Valencia, taking a third overall and a win in the "B Class" 2006 car.
Last year at Jarama, Jonathan took to the circuit for his first F3 race claiming a podium in the "B Class" and running as high as 5th overall even though being the only driver competing in a 2000 spec car, 6 years younger than the rival drivers. This year though, Jonathan, who lies 5th in the overall championship and leads the B class championship will make the move after finding enough support for the Jarama race at least. "its fantastic to be in a top car with a top team". Jonathan continued, "I tested it at the start of the season for two days and we clearly have race winning pace and throughout last year we out performed everyone's expectations. We definitely need to go for the win to bring in enough money to race at Spa where I had two overall seconds in an 8 year old car and a lap record"! Qualifying and race one will take place on Saturday and race two at 12.30 on Sunday. The races will be highlighted on Motors TV. |
